Memorial Day - Community Service

If you look close enough you can see the line all the way up the hill toward the flag pole where people where walking to pick up their flags, we were about in the middle. The line went about as far behind us as in front of us.

I was so proud of the girls that showed up for flag placement at the National Cemetery. I was a very moving experience despite the fact that that everyone had to get up so early and travel.
It only took less than 30 minutes for each of the 12,000 (approx) graves to have a flag placed on them...the amount of people that came out to perform this community service was outstanding. We should be ever mindful of the service these soldiers gave to our country and the freedoms we are allowed to enjoy!
