Fredonia Train Trip 8/1/09

Hello Mrs Remona :) Several Daisies posing with one of the engines.

All aboard...one train going one way and one train going another....everyone got to ride!
Engineers getting ready to roll...
Addressing safety issues and rules.
This is where the train cars sleep... Everyone loved the tunnel except the bat that lived there...I don't think he enjoyed all the girls screaming!
Train crew resting before lunch and another trip.
Even the older girls enjoyed the trains.

Daisy Scouts: Katie, Jaden, Gracie B., Sidney J., Emily, Victoria,
Reagan, Sarah, Allie, Kristen, Alex and Natalie all enjoyed the train trip!!
Thanks to the Chattanooga Society of Model Engineers, Inc for taking us on the train ride adventure. Everyone brought a dish for a picnic lunch and we all had a wonderful meal together and then another train ride. Of course, the train I was on derailed about 4 times...the stories I can tell! Ask me about the snake... lol
Be sure to check out their website for more pics from the event. Go to club events to see their pictures of 3 Girl Scouts troops 8/1/09. www.sn3.org/csme

Western Hoe Down - Family Night 7/27/09

Gracie, Victoria, Kristen, Allie, Tana and Emmalee during their daisy ceremony. The girls presented me with these flowers! Brownies during their "fly up" ceremony to Juniors.
Gracie Burch practicing her roping skills. Gracie also bridged up to Brownies, she came in late for the Daisy ceremony but enjoyed the rest of the evening.

Katie McMillen enjoyed one of many horse rides. xoxox to the Dishman's for bringing the horse, lead lining all the girls and bringing the roping dummy. You guys are awesome.

The men of the hour...Bryan McMillen and Justin Higgenbottom cooked 30 lbs of hamburger, 8 packages of ribs and around 100 hot dogs. The amazing part was this was all ready at one time! Thanks to Cody Debord for borrowing the "pig" grill from the vocational school!

Daisies and Brownies enjoyed a special night of fun with their families after their Briding ceremony. Karen Marshall came and taught a few basic clogging steps to the girls. Besides horse riding and roping, several people enjoyed a good game of horse shoes. Around 114 people attended the event and no one went away hungry. Thanks to all the parents who brought all the delicious food!
